With the Volkswagen Original PowerSocket, your ID. model’s charging port becomes a 230-V outlet: Thanks to the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, you can power your e-bike, cooler, tools, or camping gear directly from the vehicle’s battery—at up to 3.6 kW.

The PowerSocket can only be used with vehicles equipped with the ID. S6 software. If the ID. S6 softwareis retrofitted to a vehicle, it will not work, because the inverter is not included in a retrofit. The inverter is only included in the specified newer models that came with the ID. S6 software from the start.
