¹LTE functionality may only be used within EU member states, as well as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Norway. The LTE service can be used free of charge for 10 years. After that, a paid data plan must be selected to continue using LTE.

Electrician required for connection!
According to Section 14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG), the VW Wallbox can be controlled using various communication protocols and systems. These include OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) and EEBus.Of course, control can also be provided by a HEMS (Home Energy Management System), which may already be installed in combination with a photovoltaic (PV) system. Additionally, the grid operator may provide a ripple control receiver. In this case, the grid operator can also regulate the wallbox's power and, if necessary, throttle it.
